Dear LPAG Artists, I am writing to invite you to participate in a painting workshop to be lead by Daniel Martin at the Luis Oasis Senior Center on July 11th from 11- 5. Daniel is an talented and articulate teacher and artist, and I am sure that participants will enjoy this workshop even more than the members did when he gave a demonstration last Friday. He was one of my first art teachers when I attended Cal Poly in 1978. The subject that participants will paint will be similar to the one in the photo on the flyer. Vora Sousa won his painting at the meeting and was one of the eight people signed up so far. Daniel will appreciate those interested contact him as soon as possible. You may reach him at at 489-7717. The STUDIO & GARDEN TOUR was established in 2002 to provide an opportunity for the public to see working artists create, to add an additional venue for local artists to show their work, and to be a fundraiser for the Los Padres Artist Guild. One day a year, guild artists continue to open their beautiful gardens and private art studios.

There were 10 studios/ gardens featuring 56 artists on the 2009 Tour. Thank you to Chair of the event, Tina Porter, Jean Rittenberg, Carol Rodriguez, Mike Corob and all the artists who contributed their time, energy and talent to assuring this year's tour was a success.

New members are always welcome. The Guild meets monthly and holds annual events which contribute to the Los Padres Artist Guild Scholarship Fund. The Guild meets the 2nd Friday of each month, 7pm, in the Luis Oasis Senior Center, 420 Soares Ave., Old Orcutt.
