The Los Padres Artist Guild includes 80+ artists, mostly in Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County, CA

BRUSH & PALETTE'S FIRST ANNUAL WINE TASTING/MIXER

THIS FREE EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL AREA ARTISTS, JUST BRING A BOTTLE OF WINE AND SNACKS TO SHARE AND ENJOY AN AFTERNOON OF MEETING OTHER ARTISTS, GREAT WINE AND GOOD CONVERSATION....WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

The Arts in the California Governor’s Race project, is a non-partisan effort created to ensure that issues related to the arts and the creative economy are successfully inserted into the California governor’s race.

Autumn Arts Evening, 1 Oct (6:00 to 7:30).

View the fine art of local artists, sip some great wine, have a few snacks, and enjoy a special social evening at the SM City Library. Co-sponsors of this event and the 10-4 Saturday Festival are: Los Padres Artist Guild, Santa Maria Arts Council, and Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Commission.

Autumn Arts Grapes & Grain Festival, 2 Oct (10-4):

We have our LPAG booths, looking for LPAG artists. There is no fee to be in the booth, just a 15% commission and a promise to help! We need participants to fill and man the booth for the day. We are a sponsor and get prime space! Call Tina: 937- 6295

From Susan Patton   pelykan@mail.com   I have made up a tax chart at 8.75% that is much easier to use than the standard chart if you price your items at even dollars. It goes from $1 to $355 in $1 increments with each line showing sale total, tax and sale+tax total. I print it on heavy card stock and laminate it. Any of the artists who want one can email me (subject line "tax table", please) and I will plan on bringing them to the next couple of Guild meetings. Price is $1.50 for a laminated one and free for a print on plain paper. I will only print as many as I get requests for.

New members are always welcome. The Guild meets monthly and holds annual events which contribute to the Los Padres Artist Guild Scholarship Fund. The Guild meets the 2nd Friday of each month, 7pm, in the Luis Oasis Senior Center, 420 Soares Ave., Old Orcutt.
